A Customer-Centric
Rocket Company

Launching the future of humanity in space

A rocket company at the core, Relativity Space is on a mission to become the next great commercial launch company. With an ever-growing need for space infrastructure, demand for launch services is continuously outpacing supply. Our reusable rockets can meet this demand, offering customers the right size payload capacity at the right cost. Using an iterative development approach, we are strategically focused on reducing vehicle complexity, cost, and time to market. Our patented technologies enable innovative designs once thought impossible and unlock new value propositions in the booming space economy.

Meet Terran R

A MEDIUM-TO-HEAVY LIFT REUSABLE ROCKET

Terran R’s design is an evolution of best-in-class architecture solutions, with strategic design choices to prioritize reusability, efficiency, and cost-savings. Intentionally designed to meet the needs of today's and tomorrow's payloads, Terran R can launch:

  • 23,500 kg to Low Earth Orbit (LEO), downrange landing

  • 5,500 kg to a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO), downrange landing

  • 33,500 kg payload to LEO, expendable configuration

Embracing Iterative Learning

In March 2023, we successfully launched Terran 1, the world’s largest 3D printed object, into space. This maiden voyage proved that large-scale 3D printed objects are flight-worthy, even in dynamic environments.

Building on the success of the Terran 1 program, we’re accelerating our focus towards Terran R, our medium-to-heavy lift reusable rocket. The journey to Terran 1’s launch demonstrated our ability to design, analyze, develop, complete qualification, acceptance, and certification programs, and ultimately fly an orbital class rocket into space. The experience, learnings, proof points, and data gathered during this program are major steps toward the development of Terran R.

The team continues to iterate on designs – ensuring we bring a reliable and compelling product to market. Leveraging the value of additive manufacturing, our engineers and technicians can transform a component from concept into produced part in a matter of weeks.
